Rollshutters for SecurityRollshutters are one of the best ways to keep out intruders and discourage vandals. Unlike using an alarm system that alerts you to the fact that someone unauthorized is IN the premises ... we believe that keeping them out is the best solution!** Rollshutters may be lowered completely at night to form strong curtains that will prevent potential burglars from breaking in. Since rollshutters are controlled from inside, no unauthorized operation can occur. For additional security choose automatic locking mechanisms. Usually, closed rollshutters will be such a visual deterrent that no break-in attempts are made. A potential burglar will consider it easier to break into a neighboring business without rollshutters. Rollshutters can thus stop break-ins before they occur. We have many different strengths and sizes of curtains to provide you with the security you want with the strength you need. In addition, rollshutters provide a barrier in front of your expensive glass preventing costly replacement and rising insurance costs. Add graphics and you can advertise your business even when it's closed! Rollshutters for Privacy A closed rollshutter can provide privacy - creating a buffer between open and closed area of your business. Close off food preparation areas, reception areas, bars or any other area you do not want accessed by the public while you're open.If you or your staff need to work late - after closing - with your rollshutter rolled down - no one can see that you're all alone and vulnerable. Most often just removing the temptation is enough. Most crimes are impulsive - smash and grab. If they can't see what's behind the curtain - they will generally go somewhere easier and less dangerous for them. Rollshutters for Vandalism Protection In areas where large groups of youths congregate, the risk of vandalism increases. Most common areas are schools, concession stands & recreation facilities. Vandalism includes broken windows and destroying property inside the closed building. This can result in thousands of dollars in repairs, replacements, lengthy police reports in the middle of the night - and skyrocketing insurance costs - or insurance cancellation in the worst case scenarios! Protect your valuable equipment and sleep well at night with one of our strong, secure rollshutters! NEW 'CONTROLL'PROFILE!If you don't need the insulation properties of our standard rollshutter, consider the single-walled 'CONTROLL' profile. This new profile is strong, able to span greater distances in a single run, rolls up tighter than the standard double-walled profiles which allows smaller panel boxes, and is available in a perforated model! Perforations allow a limited view from the outside and allows filtered light through to the inside. They are avaialble in the same 4 standard colours as the standard profile INCLUDING a clear anodized (silver) profile. They are available either manual or the preferred motorized operation.
WHAT IS A ROLLSHUTTER?A rollshutter consists of interlocking slats or profiles. The profiles are made out of rollformed aluminum with either a dense polyurethane foam core or a hard resin core, depending on the size and strenght of profile required. We offer a variety of sizes, strengths and operators, depending on your unique requirements. They are available manually operated with cranks or torsion spring operators or they can be motorized and operated with a switch or remote. Locks are available for added security. The guide rails that the shutter rolls up and down in can be ordered in various sizes and configurations as well, depending on the amount of security you require. Standard colours for curtains include white, cream, light beige, dark beige, oak, teak, brown & grey. Guide rails, panel boxes & sills are available in white, light beige, brown & grey. All components can be custom coloured for an additional cost. **There is no absolute protection against a determined, professional burglar. Rollshutters and other security products will only lower the chances of a successful break-in or act of vandalism.
